Blender Creations - Warhammer 40K Kill Team Sector-Mechanicus Terrain
For this Blender challenge, I’m deep in the digital trenches, working on a 3D model of some Warhammer 40K Kill Team terrain—specifically from the Sector Mechanicus range.
To kick things off, I pulled an old, hand-painted piece from my shelf, one I finished a couple of years back, and used it as a physical reference. There’s something special about translating a tangible, paint-chipped relic of the battlefield into a fresh, detailed 3D model. It’s like giving it a second life—this time in pixels:
I’m still in the early stages of modeling this terrain, but so far, things are off to a solid start. The basic structure is taking shape, and while there’s a lot of detailing and refinement ahead, I feel like I’ve built a strong foundation to work from. Blocking out the major forms and getting the proportions right has given me a clearer vision of where this piece is headed.
